Robert Pattinson: Braveheart is my favourite film.. I've been watching it four times a day

PURSUED by screaming fans wherever he goes, Twilight star Robert Pattinson admits he gets his freedom watching Braveheart.

Thee 23-year-old hearthrob, nicknamed RPattz, says although he hasn't been able to get to a cinema for two years, he can't get enough of the Mel Gibson Oscar-winning film about Scotland's greatest patriot William Wallace.

He admitted: "I saw Braveheart on the television the other day and I've been watching it four times a day since. It's my favourite film. I haven't been to the cinema in two years."

Since he started playing smouldering vampire Edward Cullen two years ago, the London actor has become one of the world's biggest and most lusted after stars.

Last year, while filming new movie Remember Me, he was hit by a taxi while running away from fans and he's a pin-up from America to Japan.

Girls - even grannies - ask him to bite them and in November last year a 2000-strong crowd of girls turned out to see him at a fan party in London.

Added to that is the are they-aren't they relationship between him and Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart.

Robert's sudden fame has sometimes made him moan. Last year, he told the Record he couldn't stay in the same place for more than 20 minutes without gaggles of girls surrounding him.

He now reveals that he has started to apologise to people he meets for his over-exposure.

He started out as a model and fell into acting in 2004. Just a year later he was cast as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter And the Goblet Of Fire.

Robert said: "A lot of people value fame very highly, much more highly than they should and they get angry when they see people either not respecting their own fame enough or thinking that they've got famous undeservedly. I took a step in one direction and it kind of just happened, so I can't really claim anything.

"But I find myself at parties having to apologise for a lot of things, just for being myself. It's kind of weird - you can never just walk into a place and just reinvent yourself, you've always got to explain yourself first, which is tiring."

Being the main star of Twilight has seen RPattz become a multi-millionaire. His earnings last year were reportedly £11.25million thanks to the second film in the Twilight Saga films: New Moon, which will be released on DVD on March 22.

It starts another busy year for the actor, whose next film Remember Me with Pierce Brosnan is out in April, and the third film in the Twilight Saga: Eclipse will hit the cinema screens on July 9.

Robert is chatting in a London hotel room and he doesn't look like his famous vampire character because he has grown a beard for new film Bel Ami. He admits for the first time in two years he's been able to walk around his home city largely undetected.

"I would like to do an audition with no one knowing who I am and see what would happen though," he laughed.

What's it like being back in London? Given he's been jetting around the world for premieres, is it different now?

"It's really different," he admitted. "I've been here for such a little time in the last three years. I used to live in Soho and when I came back this time everything was closed. It's weird. Everywhere I used to go to, everything was closed."

While he was back in London, there were rumours Simon Cowell had offered him a record deal. The actor, who plays guitar and piano, sang and co-wrote on the Twilight soundtrack Never Think and also sang on Let Me Sign, has admitted he wants to do a solo album.

He said: "I don't know when or how and the annoying thing is, it has to be so good or people will just write it off immediately."

There is also talk he is in the running to play Peter Parker in Spider-Man 4. He and High School Musical star Zac Efron's names have been banded about after Tobey Maguire was axed from the franchise.

Robert laughed: "I don't think I'm going to be playing Spider-Man, even though I would quite like to do it."

For the moment, he has been rehearsing in London for new film Bel Ami, which started shooting last week.

It stars Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci and Kristin Scott Thomas and is the movie adaption of French writer Guy de Maupassant's 1885 novel of the same name. Robert plays a Parisian journalist who gains power in the city through the manipulation of some very wealthy women.

It's a very different kind of film to the almost chaste Twilight which is aimed at teens.

There are some steamy sex scenes with Pulp Fiction star Uma Thurman and Robert admits they are near the knuckle.

"The sex scenes with Uma are kind of disturbing. Her character kind of uses sex as a sort of weapon and my character thinks like an animal.

"There's a lot of sex scenes in this film, so I'm asking quite a lot of myself, and with lots of different people as well."

He is also set to star in the final Twlight film based on the books Breaking Dawn, which may be broken into two films, due to the number of books.

He admits to mixed emotions about the end of the saga.

He said: ""It will be strange but it will be great just to be able to know what I'm doing. Not knowing when Breaking Dawn is going to shoot - because it changes all the time - is a kind of burden, to have this thing where you don't know when it's going to happen.

"So you've got to organise everything in your life around that and that can be difficult."

Whether he and co-star Kristen, who plays Bella in the Twilight films, are an item is a question Robert manages to dodge. He has never confirmed the relationship and neither has she, despite the fervent speculation about them.

He will admit he has no problem with relationships but admits he is paranoid anyone close to him could sell a story.

He said: "Actual real relationships with people you have known for ages never change. Like all of my friends, every one I've known, it's all exactly the same.

"It's just new people. If you meet a crowd of people, a lot of times you think someone is going to say something, someone could be going to sell a story about you.

"The majority of times, nothing bad ever happens, but having that paranoia there is very annoying."

Ajouté à cela les suspicions sur sa relation avec Kristen Stewart.

La gloire soudaine de Robert le fait parfois se plaindre . L'an dernier, il a dit lors d'une interview qu'il ne pouvait rester au même endroit plus de 20 minutes, sans que les filles n'arrivent autour de lui.

Il a maintenant révèlé qu'il a commencé à s'excuser auprès des personnes qu'il rencontre pour sa surexposition médiatique.

Il a commencé comme top model et a commencé sa carrière en 2004. Juste un an plus tard il est devenu Diggory Cedric dans Harry Potter et la Coupe de feu.

Robert a déclaré: «un grand nombre de personnes prête attention à la célébrité , beaucoup plus fortement qu'ils ne devraient et ils sont en colère lorsqu'ils voient les personnes ne respectant pas leur gloire ou pensant qu'ils ne méritent pas leur célébrité. J'ai pris cette direction et voilà ce qui s'est passé , donc je ne peux rien prétendre .

«Mais je me retrouve à devoir m'excuser de beaucoup de choses lors de fêtes , alors que je reste moi même . C'est assez bizarre - vous ne pouvez pas simplement entrer dans un lieu et vous réinventer vous-même, vous devez toujours vous expliquer dans un premier temps, ce qui est fatigant.»

Étant la star principale de Twilight, on a vu RPattz devenir un multi-millionaire. Ses gains l'an dernier ont été apparemment de 11 .25 million de livres grâce au deuxième film de la saga Twilight , qui sortira le 22 mars en DVD.

Ce fut une année bien occupée pour l'acteur, car le prochain film Remember Me avec Pierce Brosnan sortira en avril et Eclipe le 9 juillet.

Robert reste lui-même dans une chambre d'hôtel de Londres et il ne ressemble à son personnage, le célèbre vampire , parce qu'il a une barbe pour son nouveau film Bel Ami. «C'est vraiment différent», il a admis. «J'ai été ici peu de temps au cours des trois dernières années. Autrefois, je vivais dans le quartier de Soho et lorsque je suis revenu, tout a fermé. C'est bizarre. Tous les endroits que je fréquentais sont désormais fermés»

Alors qu'il est de retour à Londres, il y a eu des rumeurs selon lesquelles Simon Cowell lui aurait proposé d'enregistrer un album . L'acteur, qui joue de la guitare et piano, chante et est co-auteur de la bande originale de Twilight ( Never Think et Let me sign ) a admis qu'il veut faire un album solo.

Il a dit: "Je ne sais pas quand ou comment et ce qui est ennuyeux c'est qu'il doit être bon ou les gens l'oublieront immédiatement".

On parle également du fait qu'il pourrait incarner Peter Parker dans Spider-Man 4. Lui et la star de High School Musical Zac Efron ont été en lice pour remplacer Tobey Maguire dans la franchise.

Robert rit: «Je ne pense pas que je vais jouer Spider-Man, malgré tout, j'aimerais le faire.»

Pour le moment, il a répété à Londres pour son nouveau film Bel Ami, dont le tournage a débuté la semaine dernière

«Il y a beaucoup de scènes de sexe dans ce film, donc je me pose beaucoup de questions et j'en pose beaucoup à différentes personnes .»

Il sera également la vedette de Breaking Dawn, qui va peut être divisé en deux films, vu le nombre de livres.

Il admet avoir des sentiments distincts quant à la fin de la saga.

Il a dit: "Ce sera étrange mais ce sera bien de pouvoir savoir ce que je fais. Ne sachant pas quand Breaking Dawn sera tourné - car les dates changent tout le temps – c'est un poids , car vous ne savez quand il va se tourner."

Que lui et Kristen, qui joue Bella , soient en couple est une question que Robert arrive à éluder . Il n' a jamais confirmé la relation et elle non plus, malgré la spéculation fervente à leur sujet.

Il admettra qu'il n'a pas de problème avec les relations mais admet qu'il est paranoïaque car il pense qu'un proche pourrait vendre son histoire.

Il a dit: "Les vrais relations avec les gens que vous connaissez depuis des lustres ne changent jamais. Comme tous mes amis, toute personne que j'ai connu reste la même.

«Il s'agit simplement de nouvelles personnes. Si vous répondez à une foule de personnes, un grand nombre de fois vous pensez que quelqu'un va dire quelque chose, quelqu'un pourrait vendre une histoire sur vous.

«La plupart du temps, rien de mauvais n'arrive, mais avoir cette paranoïa est très ennuyeux.»

Robert Pattinson “Disturbing” Sex Scenes Interview is Complete “Fabrication”

Any comments attributed to Robert Pattinson are going to get huge attention, especially with regards to the highly anticipated Bel Ami he’s making with Uma Thurman, and especially if outlets can throw in the word “sex.”

“The sex scenes with Uma are kind of disturbing,” Pattinson is quoted as saying to The Daily Record. The comments were quickly (and not surprisingly) picked up everywhere. “[Thurman's character] kind of uses sex as a sort of weapon and my character thinks like an animal,” Pattinson supposedly adds.

Bel Ami is an adaptation of French writer Guy de Maupassant’s novel, in which Georges Duroy (Pattinson) is a social climbing journalist and playboy. As Gossip Cop confirmed last month, Christina Ricci has also signed on to the project.

Gossip Cop was told by a source close to Pattinson that the Daily Record interview is a “fabrication.”

The source adds, Pattinson “never spoke to the [Scottish] Daily Record.”

Ah sacré gossip cop , on ne les a pas attendus pour dire que cette ITW était bidon.

Gossip Cop: Rob’s Daily Record “Interview” About “Bel Ami” Sex Scenes

Two things are for certain:

(1) There is audio of Robert Pattinson discussing sex scenes in “Bel Ami.”

(2) He most assuredly did not grant the Daily Record an interview.

Here is what happened.

Yes, there’s audio of Pattinson, but he didn’t tell the Daily Record, “The sex scenes with Uma are kind of disturbing.”

The full audio, recorded at a recent roundtable discussion with several journalists in London, has Pattinson saying that his character and Uma Thurman’s marry about two-thirds of the way into “Bel Ami,” and “the sex scenes with Uma… if they, if they work out how they are in the script… they’d be like kind of disturbing in a way.”

It’s important to note, though, that the printed comment alters the sequence and wording of Pattinson’s comments.

It’s equally important to Gossip Cop that Pattinson was not interviewed by the Daily Record, and the paper was not among the approved outlets at the roundtable.

When Gossip Cop asked about the circumstances surrounding the audio, one editor at the paper said he was “unaware” if the person who furnished the tab with the audio identified himself as a reporter for the Daily Record. And another editor said whether the writer “identified himself as representing the Daily Record” was “immaterial.”

But it’s not immaterial. Especially since the Daily Record wasn’t an approved media outlet.

The paper was able to print Pattinson’s words (while no other outlet at the roundtable did) because, not having been identified as a participant, the Daily Record did not abide by certain restrictions.

And since it was not an approved outlet, that’s why a Pattinson source told Gossip Cop – correctly – that the star “never spoke to the [Scottish] Daily Record.”

Even Pattinson, according to the source, didn’t know he was being taped by someone who was going to later supply the Daily Record with the (edited) quotes.

So, at the end of the day… yeah, Pattinson said some of what the paper claims — though not word for word, according to the audio — but he had absolutely no idea he was being “interviewed” by the Daily Record.
