Summit semble sérieux sur son désir de tourner 'Breaking Dawn' en Louisiane

2 nouvelles informations sont arrivées ce matin nous indiquant que Summit Entertainment envisage de tourner la saga "Twilight" ( 2 films) en Louisiane

Tout d'abord, Summit ce matin (lundi 17 mai ) a répondu à ma question de la semaine dernière sur les rumeurs , d'abord évoquées par The Hollywood Reporter. L'annoce officielle du studio a suivi mon article "Aucun détail n'est officiel à part que 'Breaking Dawn' sera réalisé par Bill Condon"

Puis il y a eu des papiers émanant du bureau fédéral de Louisiane par un agent de Summit pour établir une nouvelle entreprise "TSBD LOUISIANA, L.L.C." --qui serait "Twilight: Saga Breaking Dawn."

Sure, there has been a lot of exciting stuff that has happened since Bill Condon was signed on as the director of "Breaking Dawn," but that doesn't mean he has faded far from our thoughts.

Website Earth's Mightiest managed to snag an interview with "Twilight Saga" producer Wyck Godfrey and got him to talk about the choice of Bill — who is best known for his work on "Chicago" and "Dreamgirls" — to direct an angsty teenage vampire story, and his reasoning was enough to convince us.

Turns out Wyck and his partner, Marty Bowen, have been huge fans of Bill's work for a while, and have been trying to get him to work on one of their projects for some time. When they found out he was interested for "Breaking Dawn," they immediately pounced on the opportunity.

"There's a maturity to his filmmaking that his performances in his movies are so truthful and so real and yet also, with 'Dreamgirls,' you have a real kind of orchestration of images that is beautiful," Wyck said.

Whereas for us, Bill's recent work with musicals seemed like it would be a drawback, Wyck saw that as proof that Bill would be perfect for filming a movie like "Breaking Dawn."

"I think that theatrical and operatic about the visuals of ['Dreamgirls'] that you have to have in a fantasy film," Wyck said, adding, "I'm really excited to see how he works with the actors and really hopefully brings out the best performances we've seen yet from all of them."

Even though the first installment of "Breaking Dawn" isn't set to be released until November 18, 2011, Wyck said work on the next chapter of the series starts right after "Eclipse" premieres. He has already started having meetings with Bill and special effects supervisors, and hopes to make "Breaking Dawn" an even better spectacle than the previous three films.

He said that Summit has really pushed the envelope in "Eclipse" with the special effects, particularly in terms of how the wolves and vampires move. Its something he looks forward to sharing with fans and critics, especially the final battle.

"The final battle of 'Eclipse' kind of blows the socks off everything we've seen earlier in the series, because you finally have wolves interacting with humans and vampires in a way that's really sophisticated visual effects that we're doing in it," said Wyck. "Now we have to push the bar higher in 'Breaking Dawn' and that's what we’re doing now."

One thing he isn't worried about is translating some of the more gruesome and controversial material of "Breaking Dawn" into the film.

"There will be aspects of 'Breaking Dawn' that will certainly be more difficult than the same aspects of the other films," Wyck conceded. "You'll just launch into it, and it will be difficult, and we'll get 'em hopefully done the best way we can."

HollywoodNews.com: In the wake of news that fierce salary negotiations between Summit and Cullen actors Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene have abated, hope has sprung forth that the settlement of key actor terms will yield more information about “Breaking Dawn”. The $64,000 question has been around how many movies there will be, and hope is at an all time high that “Breaking Dawn” will indeed be split into two.

This certainly relates back to rumors that swirled around the Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene debacle—word on the street was they were negotiating salaries not merely for the entire “Breaking Dawn” project, but specifically for the second film. Indeed, the Twilight Saga films are proving to be a multi-year commitment for many actors involved. Though each of the principal actors has earned a small fortune for their time, the small army of secondary actors may have been left behind. Particularly since their Twilight fame may allow them to command better salaries elsewhere.

So, when will Summit make an announcement? By all logic, it would have to be soon. Recent confirmed news of the completion of other key contract negotiations (e.g., Bill Condon as Director, Stephenie Meyer as Producer) seems to support the idea that it is legal red tape, and not indecision, that is standing in the way of formalizing the news.

Même si le 1er film ne sort pas avant le 18 novembre 2011 , Wyck a dit que le travail sur le film débutera au lendemain de l'avant première d'Eclipse .Il a déjà commencé à rencontrer Bill et les responsables des effets spéciaux , et espère faire de "Breaking Dawn" un meilleur spectacle que les 3 1er épisodes réunis.

IL dit que Summit a vraiment donné un belle enveloppe pour "Eclipse" pour les effets spéciaux ( déplacement des loups et des vampires notamment) . Il a hâte de partager ça avec les fans et les critiques , surtout pour la bataille finale. .

"Il est bien meilleure que tout ce qu'on a vu auparavant , car on voit les loups et les vampires interagirent avec les humaines avec de superbes effets spéciaux," dit Wyck. "Maintenant il faut mettre la barre encore plus haut avec 'Breaking Dawn' et c'est ce que nous ferons"

Ce qui l'inquiète ce sont les scènes controversées de "Breaking Dawn" dans le film.

"Il y aura des aspects plus difficile que d'autres dans 'Breaking Dawn'," a concédé Wyck. "Il faudra se lancer, ce sera difficile mais on espère faire le mieux possible."

Le tournage de Breaking Dawn en Michigan?

Wouldn’t be cool if Taylor Lautner could show off his native Michigan to co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart while filming “Breaking Dawn” — the fourth and final installment of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series?

Janet Lockwood, director of the Michigan Film Office, says her staff will contact the production company to suggest the Mitten State as a potential film location. Filming is planned for this fall with a 2011 release date, according to imdb.com.

“We would love to have them film here,” said Lockwood. “The film locations would become tourism sites for people who are fans of the movies and books.”

If there is any truth to the rumor floating around that Louisiana is being considered because of its generous film tax incentives, Michigan might have a shot.

Percentage-wise, Michigan’s incentives — which offer up to a 42 percent tax break — are higher than Louisiana’s 25 percent tax break. This Gulf Coast state also throws in an additional 10 percent for crew hired from the state, Lockwood said.

But Michigan caps its tax credits for salaries at $2 million, which isn’t the case in Louisiana, she said.

“Even though we give a higher percentage, (filmmakers) can make a bigger rebate in Louisiana,” Lockwood said.

There might be some terrain issues with Michigan filling in for the northern Washington town of Forks, the setting of the teenage vampire love story. Michigan’s forests lack the peaks of the northwest.

Although none of the first three films were made in Washington, they were filmed in surrounding Pacific Northwest. Twilight was made in Oregon while New Moon and the soon-to-be-released Eclipse were filmed in Vancouver, Canada.

What Michigan lacks in mountains, it makes up in sandy beaches which could be perfect for the tropical island setting where vampire Edward Cullen and his bride Bella honeymoon.

“We could play the Caribbean easily,” Lockwood said.

The only problem is filming wouldn’t begin until after summer.

So..where is Rob going to end up? Vancouver, Portland, LA, Louisiana, or Michigan?

Ca serait cool si Taylor Lautner pouvait montrer son Michigan natal à Robert Pattinson et Kristen Stewart pour le tournage de “Breaking Dawn”?

Il y aurait toutefois des soucis au Michigan pour incarner Forks.. Les forêts du Michigan n'ont pas les hauteurs nécessaires.

Aucun des trois films ne fut tourné à Washington. Twilight fut tourné en Oregon New Moon et Eclipse à Vancouver, au Canada.

Le Michigan n'a pas de montagnes mais de merveilleuses plages de sables qui pourrait correspondre à l'ile tropical où Edward Cullen et sa femme Bella vont en lune de miel.

“On pourrait passer pour les Caraibes facilement ,” dit Lockwood.

Mais le tournage ne débute pas à l'été

Donc où Rob va t il aller ? Vancouver, Portland, LA, Louisiane, ou Michigan?

Sur son site, Gossip Cop indique que Summit, qui vient de rendre officielle l'information de 2 films pour le dernier chapitre de la saga, envisage de faire ces derniers en 3D.

beh voyons, ça rapporte tellement plus beh moi ça sera en 2D

Mouais pas convaincu par les 2 films ! Quant a la 3D j'ai pas de cinéma près de chez moi qui diffuse de films en 3D donc le problème est vite réglé pour moi loool

Déjà 2 films ça m'enchantait guère mais en 3D c'est du grand n'importequoi Je vois vraiment pas où cette histoire aurait besoin d'être mise en valeur par un 3D
