Robert Pattinson: I was involved with the World Wildlife Fund, for protecting tigers. They're endangered animals.

Robert Pattinson: Oh really?.. what really is in my heart, is the importance of children to get an education. I would like to join an organization that motivates kids to read books.

Do you have any time for this? Water for Elephants is in cinemas and you're shooting the big final of the Twilight-Saga. Two parts at once.

Robert Pattinson: It feels like I have been a vampire my whole life time. I can't wait to get rid of the make up

and finally to get rid of these bloody contact lenses.

How was it for a change to work with circus animals?

Robert Pattinson: Great. Finally no egos on set. Not even by the biggest star.

Reese Witherspoon?

Robert Pattinson: No, Rosie, the elephant.

How did you win her heart?

Robert Pattinson: With a lot of Jelly Beans.

Who do you understand better? The elephant or your admirers?

Robert Pattinson: The elephant. Absolutely. Cause there's logic in their game.

If you give her her favorite food, she does tricks.. (laughs) I haven't figured out how this works with my fans.
Maybe you should've become a vetenerian instead of playing as one in a movie?

Robert Pattinson: That would not be for me. As a veterinarian you have to keep the suffering of animals in perspective.

I can't do this. My heart is bleeding. I'm one of these guys who'd adopt a whole animal shelter.
Who keeps you from doing it?

Robert Pattinson: Thank God that Kristen was with me. So we just adopted one dog. A mutt. We called him bear.

If you could be an animal, which would it be?

Robert Pattinson: Maybe a rat. Sometimes I feel like one (grins). No seriously, I want to be a dog. It matches my lifestyle. If I didn't have to stand daily in front of the cameras for 16 or 17 hours, then I would hang around, watch TV and do nothing.

Do you think that the Twilight hype will stop after Breaking Dawn?

Robert Pattinson: All the chitchat surrounding me, has something to do with Twilight.

And that's why it will end after this, hopefully. Because I have a boring life.

You won't have any withdrawal symptoms when the girls stop stalking and following you?

Robert Pattinson: Their love don't belong to me, but rather to a fictional character.

En parlant des baisers. Il y a eu une soirée pour une œuvre caritative où vos baisers se sont vendus à 20 000 $...

Robert Pattinson: Je n'ai jamais vu cet argent . C'était pour la bonne cause.

Donc pour quelle cause vous engagez vous?

Robert Pattinson:J'étais engagé pour WWF ( World Wildlife Fund), pour la protéction des tigres.

Robert Pattinson: J'ai l'impression d'avoir été un vampire toute ma vie. J'ai hâte de me débarrasser de ce maquillage et d'enlever ces lentilles de contacts.

En quoi ça vous a changé de travailler avec des animaux du cirque?

Robert Pattinson: C'était génial. Pas d'ego surdimensionné sur le plateau. Même la plus grande star du film

Reese Witherspoon?

Robert Pattinson: Non, Rosie.

Comment l'avez vous conquise?

Robert Pattinson: Avec beaucoup de Dragibus.

Qui comprenez vous le mieux? L'éléphant ou vos fans?

Robert Pattinson: L'éléphant. Car il y a de la logique chez elle, dans son jeu. Si vous lui donnez ce qu'elle aime, elle fait ses numéros (rires). Je n'ai toujours pas compris comment ça marche avec les fans

Peut être devriez vous devenir vraiment vétérinaire au lieu d'en incarner un à l'écran?

Robert Pattinson: Ce n'est pas pour moi car un vétérinaire doit prendre sue lui la douleur des animaux. Je en peux le faire. Je suis le gars qui adopterait tous les animaux d'un refuge. .

Qui vous en empêche?

Robert Pattinson: Dieu merci Kristen était avec moi. Nous nous n'avons adopté qu'un chien. Un Bâtard,. Il s'appelle Bear.

Si vous étiez un animal , qui seriez vous?

Robert Pattinson: Sans doute un rat. Parfois, j'ai l'impression d'en être un (sourire). Non sérieusement , je voudrais être un chien. Ca convient à mon style de vie. Si je ne devais pas être face aux caméras 16 à 17 heures par jour , je trainerais , regarderais la TV et ne ferait rien.

Pensez vous que la folie Twilight s'arrêtera après Breaking Dawn?

Robert Pattinson: Tous ces potins autour de moi sont en lien avec Twilight.Et j'espère donc que ça prendra fin en même temps que la saga. Car j'ai une vie ennuyeuse

N'aurez vous pas un sentiment de rejet quand les filles ne crieront plus et ne vous suivront plus?

Robert Pattinson: Elles aiment mon personnage , pas moi. Cette confusion dure depuis longtemps. Il n'y a pas longtemps , une femme m'a suivi à l'aéroport avec un carnet à autographe. Elle ne cessait de débiter. "Robert je vous aime" "Robert je vous aime vraiment" "Robert vous ne savez pas à quel point, je vous aime". Je lui ai demandé son âge. Elle avait 92 ans.

C'est marrant , non?

Robert Pattinson: Oui et c'est la même chose pour les fillettes de 12 ans

Comment faites vous pour que votre petite amie ne soit pas jalouse de vos fans?

Robert Pattinson: En ne couchant pas avec elle. Oh mon dieu, c'est horrible , ce que je viens de dire!
