Rob Talks BD2,Fight Scenes,Twilight,The Rover and Kristen as a Vampire

He’s one of the hottest properties in Hollywood, and today, MTV Australia was lucky enough to catch up with ‘Twilight’ star Robert Pattinson!

The 26-year-old Brit is in Australia to promote the final instalment of the hugely popular franchise, ‘Breaking Dawn – Part 2,’ which hits cinemas on November 15.

We sat down with the in-demand actor to find out how well he thought his co-star Kristen Stewart handled Bella becoming a vampire, what his favourite memories are from being on set, and where to from here!

MTV: Hi Rob! So there's a lot of anticipation from fans to finally see Bella as a vampire. How do you think Kristen handled the transition - did she do a good job?
Rob: Yeah, she was really excited about being a vampire. Everybody else who’d been pretty consistently in the movies, they’d obviously been playing a vampire like every day for ages. And so it’s funny seeing someone suddenly come into it and try and figure out their own version of the physicality and the mentality of it.

But her character has a different thing, because she’s supposed to find it really easy. It’s supposed to be a natural progression for her to become a vampire, it’s supposed to be simple. So I guess it was kind of different.

MTV: There are some amazing fight scenes in the film, what were they like to shoot?
Rob: This one was hard. I mean, we were shooting this big action sequence for about two and a half months in a massive warehouse where they normally sell cows, with a bunch of fake paper snow and green walls, and you literally started to go insane after a while! Yeah, it gets tough doing stuff like that, it gets a bit repetitive.

MTV: Looking back across the whole series, what's your favorite memory from being on set?
Rob: There’s been a few. I mean, going to Brazil on this one was pretty fun, it was pretty crazy. I crashed a speedboat which was pretty exciting! Yeah tons. Tons from the first movie, it was just so different being the first one. I mean we used to travel to set, the entire cast, in a minibus. I mean it was so entirely the opposite of what the last one ended up being - like being in helicopters and stuff.

MTV: Before you landed the role of Edward in ‘Twilight’ you had decided you were going to quit acting. Is it strange looking back at how far you've come and how much your life had changed since then?
Rob: Yeah, it is very odd. I think that a lot of actors go through the same thing, when you’ve literally gotta be just like ‘Ugh, this is pointless.’ That’s the only time you ever seem to get any jobs - you’ve gotta be at rock bottom! [laughs] But yeah, it’s funny. I was like fully, fully intending not to do it anymore, and then this came up.

MTV: So what's next on the horizon for you?
Rob: My next thing I’m doing in Australia with this guy David Michod who did ‘Animal Kingdom,’ and Guy Pearce. So yeah, that’s going to be fun. It’s a really good script and I think he’s an amazing director, so it’s exciting.

MTV: So we can expect to see you back Down Under soon then?
Rob: Yeah!

Il est une des propriétés les plus sexy d' Hollywood, et aujourd'hui, MTV Australie a eu la chance de discuter avec la star de ‘Twilight’ Robert Pattinson!

L'anglais de 26 ans est en Australie pour promouvoir le dernier opus de la saga à succès, ‘Breaking Dawn – Part 2,’ qui sort au cinéma la 15 novembre.

On a discuté avec le très demandé acteur pour découvrir ce qu'il pensait de sa collègue Kristen Stewart pour savoir si elle a bien géré Bella devenant vampire,. On lui a demandé quels étaient ses meilleurs souvenirs sur le tournage et ce qu'il pensait d'être ici

MTV: Salut Rob! Il y a beaucoup d'anticipation de la part des fans qui vont enfin voir Bella en vampire. Selon toi, comment Kristen a t-elle géré le transition – a t-elle fait du bon boulot?

Rob: Oui, elle avait vraiment hâte d'être vampire. Tous les autres qui ont fait les films, ils avaient déjà incarner un vampire quotidiennement depuis des lustres. ET c'est tellement marrant de voir quelqu'un le devenir et tenter de déterminer leur version de leur physicalité et leur mentalité

Mais son personnage a un truc différent, car elle est supposée trouver ça facile. C'est sensé être une progression naturelle de devenir vampire, ça doit être simple. Je suppose donc que ça doit être différent.

MTV: Il y a des scènes de luttes incroyables dans le film, comment s'est passé le tournage?

Rob: Ca a été difficile. Nous avons tourné cette grosse séquence d'action pendant 2 mois et demi dans un énorme entrepôt où ils vendent normalement des vaches , avec de la fausse neige et des écrans verts , et au bout d'un moment, vous devenez complétement fou ! Oui c'est dur de faire des trucs comme ça, c'est un peu répétitif.

MTV: En jetant un coup d'oeil en arrière sur la saga, quel est votre souvenir préféré sur le tournage?

Rob: Il y en a peu. Etre allé au Brésil pour celui ci était assez marrant, c'était assez fou. J'ai eu un accident avec un bateau et c'était assez excitant. Oui des tas. Des tas de souvenirs sur le 1er film car c'était différent car c'était le 1er. On voyageait sur le plateau , tout le cast, dans un minibus. C'était à l'opposé de ce qu'était le tout dernier – comme être dans des hélicoptères ou d'autre truc.

MTV: Avant d'obtenir le rôle d' Edward dans ‘Twilight’, vous aviez décidé d'arrêter le métier d'acteur. Est étrange de regarder en arrière pour voir ce qui vous est arrivé et que votre vie a profondément changé depuis?

Rob: Oui, c'est très étrange. Je pense que de nombreux acteurs vivent la même chose, quand vous en arrivez au point où vous vous dites ‘Pff, c'est inutile’ . C'est le seul moment où vous semblez avoir des rôles , quand vous êtes au plus bas (rires) . Mais oui, c'est marrant. J'avais réellement l'intention de tout arrêter puis Twilight est arrivé.

MTV: Donc quels sont vos prochains projets?

Rob: Le prochain film que je fais en Australie sera avec David Michod qui a réalisé ‘Animal Kingdom,’ et avec Guy Pearce. Donc oui, ça va être marrant. C'est vraiment un bon script et je pense que c'est un réalisateur incroyable donc c'est excitant.

MTV: Donc on peut espérer vous revoir en Australie bientôt alors?

Rob: Oui!

Robert talks about attending-Kind of-Katty Perry's movie premiere

Robert Pattinson was one of several famous faces who helped pop megastar Katy Perry celebrate the release of her flick ‘Part Of Me’ earlier this year.

The ‘Twilight’ hunk was snapped with teen stars Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez piling into the back of a minivan en route to the after party at the famed Chateau Marmont back in June.

MTV Australia asked Rob about the celeb-overload outing when we caught up with him yesterday in Sydney – and the star revealed that despite all the fuss, he didn’t actually manage to see his friend’s movie debut that night!

“Embarrassingly I didn’t actually go to the premiere, I just went to the party!” Rob said with a laugh.

But Katy needn’t worry, as Rob has since made up for lost time.

“I have seen that film though,” he continued, “I really liked it.”

So can we expect Katy to return the favour and support her pal Rob when ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2’ premieres next month?

“Yeah maybe. Yeah! She should come to it!” said Rob.

The ‘Twilight’ star missed Perry’s 28th birthday celebrations over the weekend because of his trip Down Under, but his other half Kristen Stewart managed to put in an appearance at the Halloween themed bash, which saw Katy dressed up as – you guessed it – a vampire!

Robert Pattinson parle de l'avant-première du film de Katy Perry

Robert Patinson était l'une des nombreuses célébrités qui a aidé la megastar de la pop Katy Perry à célébrer la sortie de son film "Part Of Me" plus tôt cette année.

Le beau mec de "Twilight" a été vu avec les stars des ados Justin Bieber et Selena Gomez entrain de monter à l'arrière d'un mini-van en route pour l'after-party au célèbre Chateau Marmont en Juin dernier.

MTV Australia a interrogé Rob sur cette sortie remplie de stars quand nous l'avons vu hier à Sydney - et la star a révélé que malgré toue l'agitation, il n'avait pas prévu de voir les débuts au cinéma de son amie cette nuit là !

"J'ai honte mais je ne suis pas allé à l'avant-première, je suis juste allé à la fête !" raconte Rob en rigolant.

Mais Katy n'a pas à s’inquiéter, car depuis Rob a rattrapé le temps perdu.

"J'ai vu le film cependant," continue-t-il, "je l'ai vraiment aimé."

Donc devons-nous nous attendre à ce que Katy lui retourne la faveur et supporte son pote Rob durant l'avant-première de "Breaking Dawn Partie 2" le mois prochain ?

"Ouais peut-être ! Elle devrait venir !" raconte Rob.

La star de "Twilight" a manqué le 28ème anniversaire de Perry le week end dernier à cause de son voyage ici, mais son autre moitié Kristen Stewart a fait une apparence à la fête costumée d'halloween, où nous avons vu Katy déguisée - vous l'avez deviné - en vampire !
